Dominic Dicks is a self taught artist who has undertaken informal training in art. He began painting after a career in public service with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. His original art evokes the rugged beauty of the Newfoundland and Labrador landscape. Dominic typically paints acrylic on canvas followed by the production of limited edition reproductions. However, original artwork is available for purchase if desired. In addition, Dominic also accepts art commissions. Dominic, son of a lighthouse keeper was born (1937) in Tides Point, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador. He now resides in St. John's.
